Chicago, IL- The Christian Brothers University men's golf team delivered a gritty performance to secure a third-place finish in a competitive field at this week's tournament, highlighted by steady play and key individual efforts across the lineup.
Nathan London led the Buccaneers with a standout tournament, finishing eighth overall at +14 after rounds of 74, 75, and 81. London's first two rounds kept him near the top of the leaderboard, and despite a challenging final day, his consistency helped pace CBU to its top-three team finish.
Close behind was Noah Lepers, who finished tied for 14th at +18. Lepers opened strong with a 73 in round one and battled through tougher scoring conditions in the final rounds to post another solid finish for the Bucs.
Nathan Harms turned in one of the most dramatic rounds of the tournament, bouncing back from a difficult start to fire an impressive 69 (-3) in the second round — one of the lowest rounds of the entire event. He finished at +21, tying for 19th and giving CBU critical points down the stretch.
Rounding out the team, Joseph Winterrowd and Jack Clarke contributed consistent efforts, finishing at +25 (T-23) and +31 (T-30), respectively. Winterrowd's middle-round 75 provided key momentum as the Bucs battled through windy conditions and tough pin placements.
As a team, Christian Brothers showcased balance using steady play to secure third place behind Alabama State and Eastern Illinois.
