COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - Tennessee Tech outscored the Christian Brothers University women's basketball team 69-30 through three quarters, in an 86-56 win, on Thursday night, at the Eblen Center. The exhibition contest was the first of the season for both teams.
The Lady Bucs outscored the hosts 26-17 in the fourth quarter.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Tech shot 48 percent in the first quarter and took a 24-13 lead.
- A 2-for-11 shooting second quarter by the Lady Bucs helped Tennessee Tech take a 51-21 lead into halftime.
- After an 18-9 third quarter, CBU used a 59 percent shooting (10-of-17) effort, and a 12-0 run to win the final period.
KEY STATS | NOTEABLES:
- The hosts took advantage of 26 CBU miscues, scoring 32 points.
- Tech out rebounded the Lady Bucs 51-40, scoring 20 second chance points.
- The Golden Eagles scored 42 of their points in the painted area.
- In her Christian Brothers debut, Yaya Coleman led the way with 15 points and a game-high 15 rebounds.
- Freshmen Jeremia Montgomery and Braylee McMath added 11 and 10 points to round out the CBU double figure scorers.

CBU is scheduled to open its regular season, on Friday, Nov. 12, when they travel to Daytona Beach, Fla., for the Gulf South Conference/Sunshine State Conference crossover. The Lady Bucs are scheduled to face Rollins in the opener and Embry-Riddle on the following day.
