MEMPHIS - Union took advantage of 42 kills and seven blocks in a 3-0 win over the Christian Brothers University volleyball team, on Tuesday evening, at Canale Arena.

Union 3, CBU 0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-11)

WHAT HAPPENED: Laura Rose Gray had 18 kills and three blocks for the visitors, who finished with 42 kills and a .365 hitting percentage. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Aftter Union took a quick 4-1 lead, no team lead by more than two points, until the Lady Bulldogs scored six of the final eight points to win the set. 
• In the second set, Union took advantage of 12 CBU errors to earn a 25-20 win.
• The Lady Bulldogs opened the deciding set on a 10-5 run, and recorded nine kills to earn the sweep.

KEY STATS:

• Tia Rizvi and Kolbi Reed led the Lady Bucs with 10 kills.
• KaLea Davis finished with 26 assists and eight digs.
• Lauren Ballard finished with nine digs and five kills.
• Union had a 7-0 advantage in blocks.

The Lady Bucs are scheduled to return to action on Friday, Oct. 8 when they travel to Livingston, Ala. to take on conference-foe West Alabama. The match is scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM.
