LIVINGSTON, Ala. - West Alabama captured a pair of sets by just two points, in a 3-0 victory over the Christian Brothers University volleyball team, on Friday night, at Pruit Hall.

West Alabama 3, CBU 0 (25-23, 25-19, 25-23)
WHAT HAPPENED: West Alabama earned 25-23 wins in the first and third sets to earn the win. took advantage of 33 kills, seven blocks, and 24 Lady Buc errors.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the opening set, neither team led by more than two points until the Lady Bucs held a 20-17 advantage. With the Lady Bucs leading 22-19, the Tigers scored six of the next seven points to win the set.
- In the second set, West Alabama opened with a 5-1 run and never trailed as it took a 2-0 lead.
- The Tigers opened the deciding set on a 5-0 run, but CBU responded with a 9-0 spurt to take the lead. Trailing 23-19, the Tigers took advantage of three CBU errors to score the final six points of the match.
KEY STATS:
- Tia Rizvi led the Lady Bucs with a career-high 16 kills.
- Kimmy Hammond finished with 23 digs (career-high), four aces (career-high) and three assists.
- KaLea Davis finished with 31 assists, two aces and two blocks.
- CBU had a 9-6 advantage in aces.
