HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Union raced out to a 10-0 lead in the opening five minutes of the contest. 
  • The Bulldogs held the Bucs scoreless until Keeving Etienne hit a free throw with 14:46 remaining. 
  • Union shot 15-of-27 (56 percent), including 6-of-12 from three point range, to help it take a 36-22 lead into halftime. 
  • CBU scored the first six points of the second half, but the hosts responded with seven straight to lead 43-28. 
  • The Bucs stormed back, using a 16-1 run, over the next 4:45 to tie the game at 46, with 10:01 left. 
  • Union then scored the next seven points to take a 53-46 lead, with 7:44 remaining. 
  • With 6:41 left, Lorenzo Wright connected on a three pointer to cut the Union lead to 55-52. 
  • The hosts responded again, scoring seven of the next eight points to lead 62-53. 
  • After CBU trimmed the Union advantage to 62-58, Union scored five straight to grow its lead to nine points, with just over 90 seconds left. 
  • Union hit all four of its free throws down the stretch to hold on for the win.

UP NEXT
The Bucs are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, Dec. 14 when they travel to Lindenwood for a non-conference matchup. The Lions defeated CBU 80-77 on Nov. 20.
