HOW IT HAPPENED
- Union raced out to a 10-0 lead in the opening five minutes of the contest.
- The Bulldogs held the Bucs scoreless until Keeving Etienne hit a free throw with 14:46 remaining.
- Union shot 15-of-27 (56 percent), including 6-of-12 from three point range, to help it take a 36-22 lead into halftime.
- CBU scored the first six points of the second half, but the hosts responded with seven straight to lead 43-28.
- The Bucs stormed back, using a 16-1 run, over the next 4:45 to tie the game at 46, with 10:01 left.
- Union then scored the next seven points to take a 53-46 lead, with 7:44 remaining.
- With 6:41 left, Lorenzo Wright connected on a three pointer to cut the Union lead to 55-52.
- The hosts responded again, scoring seven of the next eight points to lead 62-53.
- After CBU trimmed the Union advantage to 62-58, Union scored five straight to grow its lead to nine points, with just over 90 seconds left.
