CLEVELAND, MS - Delta State outscored the Christian Brothers University women's basketball team 51-37 in the second half, in an 82-67 win, on Saturday afternoon, at Walter Sillers Coliseum.
Emily Jones and
Yaya Coleman led the Lady Bucs with 15 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Lady Statesmen forced four CBU turnovers, and held the Lady Bucs to 4-of-14 shooting to take a 17-9 lead after the first quarter.
- The Lady Bucs opened the second quarter on a 10-2 run and outscored the Lady Statesmen 21-14, to cut the deficit to one (31-30) heading into halftime. CBU shot 53% from the field in the opening half.
- In the third quarter the Lady Statesmen shot 56% from the field to take a 55-49 lead into the fourth quarter.
- Delta State led by as many as 19 points in the final quarter and earned the win.
KEY STATS | NOTEABLES:
- Emily Jones finished 6-of-15 from the floor, along with five rebounds.Â
- Yaya Coleman finished with 15 points and three rebounds.
- Jeremia Montgomery (13) and Isabella Jones (season-high 10) rounded out the double figure scorers for the Lady Bucs.
- The Lady Bucs were outscored 27-18 in the fourth quarter.
