CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Christian Brothers University baseball team was swept, on Saturday afternoon, at Larry Carpenter Stadium. The Flames earned a 5-2 victory in game one and came back from behind to win 9-6, in 10 innings, in the nightcap.
GAME ONE: #20 LEE 5 (7-1, 7-0 GSC) CBU 2 (0-4, 0-4 GSC) (9)
GAME CHANGER:
- The Flames pushed four runs across the board in the third inning.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- The Flames finished the game with a 9-6 advantage in hits.

J.D. Goodspeed went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in the contest.
- Keegan Voss went 2-for-3, with a pair of doubles.
KEY PLAYS:
- After two scoreless innings, Lee capitalized on a CBU miscue and a pair of two out doubles, to lead 4-0 after three.
- Voss and Goodspeed cut the deficit in half as the Bucs trailed 4-2 after six.
- The Flames added an insurance run in the ninth, when they scored what proved to be the final run of the contest.
GAME TWO: #20 LEE 9 (8-1, 8-0 GSC) CBU 6 (0-5, 0-5 GSC) (10)
GAME CHANGER:
- After five innings the Bucs lead 5-0, but Lee used a four run eighth inning to tie the game at six.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- The Flames finished the game with a 15-7 advantage in hits.

Blake Dallas had a strong performance, throwing six innings of one run ball with seven strikeouts.
KEY PLAYS:
- The Bucs plated five runs on five hits to lead 5-0 after one.
- Lee answered back with a run in the sixth and the seventh, before plating four in the eighth, with the help of two solo-homers, to tie the game at six.
- The Bucs stranded the winning run on third base in the ninth.
- The Flames scored three in the tenth to take a 9-6 lead.
- Tyler Fairchild and Andrew Franklin, for Lee, pitched nine innings, allowing two hits and one run.
