Livingston, Ala. - Brynne Lytle poured in 36 points, but the Christian Brothers University women's basketball team came up just short in a 82-75 setback at West Alabama, on Sunday, at
Pruitt Hall.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Lady Bucs hit five threes in the first quarter, but trailed 22-17 after 10 minutes.
- CBU kept pace with UWA scoring 16 points in the second quarter, but trailed 38-33 at the half.
- The Lady Bucs opened the second half with three straight triples to help take a 42-40 lead, but UWA answered with a 13-0 run as it lead 64-54 after three quarters.
- In the final quarter, the Lady Bucs 16-6 run was not enough to complete the comeback, as UWA held on for the win.
KEY STATS | NOTEABLES:
- West Alabama pounded the ball inside, outscoring CBU 46-18 in the paint.
- The Lady Bucs finished the game 25-for-61 from the field (41 percent), and 14-of-27 (52 percent) from three point range.
- CBU had a 18-15 advantage in points off turnovers.
- Brynne Lytle finished with a game high 36 points and 7 steals. She was 6-for-11 from three point range. Lytle's 7 steals is the most by a CBU player since 2015.
- Emily Jones rounded out the double digit scorers with 16
- Tazsa Garrett-Hammett, of UWA, finished 7-of-13 with 28 points and 10 rebounds.
- Bria Dent, of UWA, added16 points and 13 rebounds.
