Lady Bucs Fall at Mississippi College in GSC Spring Championship Series Opener

JACKSON, Miss. - Mississippi College scored a goal in the 36th minute and held on for a 1-0 victory over the Christian Brothers University women's soccer team, on Wednesday, on the campus of Jackson Academy.

The contest was the first of the 2021 Gulf South Conference Spring Championship Series.

This marked the first official match for the Lady Bucs since November 12, 2019, when they fell at Montevallo in the opening round of the Gulf South Conference Tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

36' | After having four shots stopped by Riley Chafin, MC scored what proved to be the match winner when Lindsey Stephenson scored on a set piece.
HALF | The Lady Choctaws outshot the Lady Bucs 12-2 in the first half, forcing four saves from Chafin.
FINAL | MC kept a hold of the match, in the second half, forcing five more saves by Chafin.
