Livingston, Ala. – West Alabama scored four runs in the second, and five in the third to help it defeat the Christian Brothers University softball team 11-6, on Friday evening, at the UWA Softball Complex.
FINAL: West Alabama 11 (6-5, 1-3 GSC) CBU 6 (0-4 GSC)
GAME CHANGER:
- Trailing 3-0 going into the bottom of the second, UWA scored 11 of the next 14 runs to win the game,
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- UWA finished the game with a 9-4 advantage in hits.
- The Tigers had four extra base hits. All of which were doubles.

Josie Bond and
Memory Willingham had two RBIs apiece for CBU.
- Willingham drew three walks.

Elaina McGill hit her first home run of the season, and scored a pair of runs.
- CBU left 10 runners on base.
KEY PLAYS:
- An RBI single by Bond, a bases loaded walk by Willingham and a wild pitch gave CBU a 3-0 lead, in the second.
- The Tigers answered back with four runs in the bottom half of the inning.
- CBU scored two more in the third, on bases loaded walks by Bond and Willingham.
- The Tigers added five in the third to take a 9-5 lead.
- CBU finished their scoring in the fourth with McGill's home run.
