Brynne Lytle celebrated Senior Day by scoring 32 points with seven rebounds to help give the Christian Brothers University women's basketball team a 83-74 victory over Delta State Saturday afternoon, at Canale Arena.
The win for CBU denied Delta State a sweep of the season series.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Lady Bucs came out firing early, going 10-of-18 from the field in the first quarter.
- CBU lead 23-18 after the opening 10 minutes.
- CBU continued its hot shooting in the second, as it shot 50 percent from the field.
- The Lady Bucs lead 46-33 heading into the locker room at halftime.
- DSU used a 16-5 run to cut the lead to 54-49, but CBU responded with an 11-5 spurt to lead 65-54, after three quarters.
- In the final minutes, CBU hit clutch free-throws (5-of-7 in the fourth quarter) to hold on for the win.
KEY STATS | NOTEABLES:
- The Lady Bucs finished the game 29-of-62 (47 percent) from field, and 17-of-23 (74 percent) from the free-throw line.
- Zyaire Ewing, of DSU, finished 14-of-28 with 31 points and 16 rebounds.
- CBU had a 18-7 advantage in fast break points.
- Brynne Lytle finished with a game high 32 points and went 9-of-9 from the free throw line.
- Julia Nicholson finished the game with a career-high 15 points and 2 steals.
- Karlee Bates rounded out the double figure scorers with a career-high 12 points.
