Kenna Hughes led the Christian Brothers University women's golf team with a runner-up finish in the CBU Buccaneer Invite, on Tuesday, at Irene Country Club. The Lady Bucs finished the three round tournament in sixth place.
After finishing the tournament in a tie for first place, Hughes fell in a playoff to Natasha Ainsley-Thomas of McKendree.
NOTEABLES
- Hughes fired an opening round 74, which is just one shot shy of her best round of the season (73) at the Full Moon Invitational (11.1.20).
- CBU shot a team total of 312, in the second round, which is its lowest round in recorded history.
- Ellie Navarre shot a career-best 74 in the second round, and finished in 19th place.
