No. 21 West Florida Pitches Way Past Lady Bucs

PENSACOLA, Fla. – No. 21 West Florida used a complete game shutout from pitcher Montana Young, in a 5-0 victory, over the Christian Brothers University softball team, on Sunday at the UWF Softball Complex.

GAME CHANGER:
- Young struck out seven and allowed just two CBU hits. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- UWF finished the game with an 10-2 advantage in hits.
- Josie Bond and Rylee Nelson recorded the CBU hits. 

KEY PLAYS:
- UWF sent eight batters to the plate in the first inning, scoring three runs on six hits. 
- The Argonauts finished the scoring with a pair of insurance runs in the fourth. 
- Young retired the final 11 CBU batters of the game. 

UP NEXT:
The Lady Bucs are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, March 23 when they travel to Arkadelphia, Ark., to face Henderson State in a non-conference doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.
