ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Henderson State earned a 4-3 (8 innings) walk-off win in the opener, and used an eight run inning to take game two 10-2 (5) in a doubleheader sweep of the Christian Brothers University softball team, on Tuesday, at Dee White Field.
GAME ONE: Henderson State 4 (7-16) CBU 3 (2-16)
GAME CHANGER:
- Trailing 3-2 in the seventh, Henderson State was down to its final out, and got a game-tying single from Abbie Mooore.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- The Lady Bucs were outhit 9-5.

Macy Cumming went the distance, allowing two earned runs on nine hits, with four strikeouts.
KEY PLAYS:
- After just five combined hits, through four innings, CBU took advantage of a two-base error when
Elaina McGill hit an RBI single to score Willingham.
- In the sixth, CBU added to its lead on the two-run home run by Westbrooks.
- HSU answered in the bottom half when Addie Jordan answered with her own two-run homer.
- After CBU stranded an insurance run in the seventh, the Reddies were down to their final out of the game before Moore's hit tied it at three.
- In the eighth, the Lady Bucs had a pair in scoring position but a pop out ended the inning.
- With the international tiebreaker in effect (runner placed on second to start extra innings) HSU loaded the bases, with. no outs and scored the game-winner on a one out single.
GAME TWO: Henderson State 10 (8-16) CBU 2 (2-17) (5)
GAME CHANGER:
- Henderson State took advantage of a pair of CBU miscues to score eight runs in the fourth inning.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Henderson State finished the game with a 10-8 edge in hits.

Elaina McGill led CBU at the plate, as she finished 2-for-3 with an RBI double.
KEY PLAYS:
- After CBU scored on an error in the second, HSU answered in the second before exploding for eight runs in the fourth.
- McGill's double, in the fifth made the score 9-2.
- The hosts ended the game in the fifth with an RBI double by Czoey White.
