Bucs Drop Hard Fought Contest to Union in GSC Championship Series Final

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Union scored three minutes into the second half, and held on for a 1-0 victory over the Christian Brothers University men's soccer team, in the Gulf South Conference Championship Series final, on Saturday at John Hunt Soccer Complex.

The Bucs finished the contest with a 12-7 advantage in shots, including a 7-6 edge in shots on goal, but were unable to find the equalizer.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

HALF | It was a scoreless first half between the two sides, that saw CBU finish with a 6-2 edge in shots.
49' | Union's Mats Fredriksen scored the game's only goal. Gavin Scott provided the assist for Fredriksen's goal
90' | CBU forced a pair of saves in the final 10 minutes but was unable to get an equalizer.
