JACKSON, Tenn - The Christian Brothers University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Arkansas Tech, on Saturday, at Fred DeLay Gymnasium. This match concluded the 2021 Union Classic.
Arkansas Tech 3, CBU 0 (25-13, 25-21, 25-20)
WHAT HAPPENED: Arkansas Tech held the Lady Bucs to a .073 hitting percentage. ATU also finished the contest with eight service aces.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the first set, Arkansas Tech took advantage of eight CBU attack errors in a 25-13 win.
- The Golden Suns jumped out to an early 10-3 lead. The Lady Bucs cut the lead to 14-12, but the Golden Suns held on for a 25-21 win.
- In the deciding set, ATU took advantage of six CBU errors in a 25-20 victory.
KEY STATS:
- Maddie McGaha led the Lady Bucs with eight kills and one assist.
- KaLea Davis finished with 19 assists, eight digs and an ace.
- Arkansas Tech finished with an 8-2 advantage in aces.

The Lady Bucs are scheduled to return to Jackson on Tuesday Sept. 21st, where they will face in-state rival Union in their first Gulf South Conference matchup of the season. The match is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
