Lady Bucs Storm Back to Defeat No. 25 Tampa in Overtime

COLUMBUS, GA. - The Christian Brothers University women's soccer team erased a two-goal deficit, in a 3-2 overtime victory over Tampa, on Friday at the Walden Soccer Complex. The contest marked the season opener for the Lady Bucs. Anna Della Rosa scored a pair of goals for the Lady Bucs, including the game-winner.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

40' |Alex Steigelfest broke a scoreless tie to give Tampa a 1-0 lead.
42' | Less than two minutes later, Tampa doubled its lead with a goal from Madison McElhone.
HALF | Tampa outshot CBU 10-3. 
54' | Freshman Maria Cancio got behind the defense, after a pass from Bailey Tadlock, and beat the goalkeeper to score the first goal of the season for CBU.
64' | Less than 10 minutes later, Della Rosa scored her first of the match when she took a pass from Amanda Dutra and lobbed a long-range shot over the Tampa goalkeeper.
91' | Less than one minute into overtime, the Lady Bucs took advantage of a turnover in the midfield and Della Rosa took a pass from Tadlock, beat the goalkeeper and fired home the game-winner.
