ARKADELPHIA, ARK.- The Christian Brothers University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Henderson State, on Tuesday evening, at the Duke Wells Center.
Henderson State 3, CBU 0 (25-16, 25-17, 25-11)
WHAT HAPPENED: Henderson State took advantage of nine blocks, and finished with a .267 hitting percentage.Â
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the first set Henderson State took an early 8-2 lead, and forced six CBU attack errors in a 25-16 set win.
- CBU used a late 5-0 run in the second set, but could not complete the comeback in a 25-17 decision.
- The Reddies opened the deciding set on a 9-2 run and used a late 6-0 run to complete the sweep.
KEY STATS:
- KaLea Davis led the Lady Bucs with 26 assists.
- Kimmy Hammond finished with 15 digs and one assist.
- Rebecca King led the Bucs with seven kills.
- Henderson State had a 7-1 advantage in aces.
UP NEXT:Â The Lady Bucs are scheduled to travel to Nashville on Friday, Sept. 10 when they are set to take on Trevecca Nazarene and Arkansas Monticello on the opening day of the Ray Thrasher Memorial Tournament. The matchups are scheduled for 1:00 and 5:00 PM.
