HUNTSVILLE, AL.- The Christian Brothers University women's basketball team outscored Gulf South Conference foe Alabama Huntsville 49-35 in the opening half, and held on for an 83-76 victory, on Tuesday evening, at Spragins Hall.
The Lady Bucs have defeated UAH in four of the last five contests dating back to 2019.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the opening four minutes, UAH went 6-of-6 from the field to take an early 15-5 lead over the Lady Bucs.
- The Lady Bucs finished the period on a 15-4 run to take a 20-19 lead after the opening quarter.Â
- CBU continued its hotshooting, as it outscored UAH 29-16 in the second quarter to take a 49-35 lead into halftime. CBU shot 64 percent in the second quarter.
- In the third quarter, the Lady Bucs led by as many as 17, but UAH cut the lead to 65-56 going into the final quarter.
- The Chargers opened the fourth quarter on an 11-6 run to cut the deficit to four (71-67) with 5:38 left.Â
- The Lady Bucs hit four of their final seven shots to hold on for the win.
KEY STATS | NOTEABLES:
- Emily Jones finished with 25 points and two blocks. The sophomore was 5-of-8 from three point range.Â
- Yaya Coleman recorded 17 points and six rebounds.Â
- Jeremia Montgomery added 11 points with four rebounds, and three steals. .
- Darcy Doran rounded out the double-figure scorers with 10 points.
- CBU capitalized with 22 points off 18 UAH turnovers.
- With 11 steals today, the Lady Bucs have recorded double-digit steals in three games this season
- The Lady Bucs were outscored 20-18 in the fourth quarter.
