MEMPHIS - The Christian Brothers University women's basketball team outscored AUM 37-26 in the opening half, and held on for an 84-79 victory, on Thursday evening, at Canale Arena.
The Lady Bucs have now won two of their last three Gulf South Conference contests.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- AUM forced three CBU turnovers, and held the Lady Bucs to 5-of-14 shooting to take a 15-13 lead after the first quarter.
- CBU answered back in the second, outscoring the Warhawks 24-11, to take a 37-26 lead at halftime. CBU shot 45 percent in the second quarter.
- In the third quarter, the Lady Bucs led by as many as 22, but AUM cut the lead to 66-53 going into the final quarter.
- The Warhawks opened the fourth quarter on a 14-5 run to cut the deficit to four (71-67) with 5:59 left.
- Allasha Dudley's three pointer, with 3:02 left, got the visitors to within 76-74, but the Lady Bucs hit three of their next four shots to hold on for the win.
KEY STATS | NOTEABLES:
- Emily Jones finished with a 24 points with five rebounds. The sophomore was 4-of-7 from three point range.
- Yaya Coleman recorded her fifth double-double of the season, finishing with 21 points and 10 rebounds.
- Jeremia Montgomery added 18 points with six rebounds.
- Karlee Bates recorded a season-high six assists.
- CBU capitalized with 11 points off 12 AUM turnovers.
- The Lady Bucs were outscored 26-18 in the fourth quarter.
