HOOVER, Ala. - The Christian Brothers University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Spring Hill, to open the South Region Crossover, on Friday afternoon, at the Finley Center.
FINAL SCORE:
SHC 3 (19-7), CBU 0 (3-13), (25-20, 25-14, 25-16)
WHAT HAPPENED:
Spring Hill used 38 kills and a .188 hitting percentage to earn the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After CBU took a 10-7 lead, the Badgers used a 10-2 run to jump ahead 17-12. The Lady Bucs were unable to get closer than four points the rest of the set.
- SHC used 15 kills and just three errors to win the second set 25-14.
- With the score tied at six, the Badgers scored the next 10 points to take control of the set and win the match.
KEY STATS | NOTEABLES:
Maddi Rowley led the Lady Bucs with nine kills.
Kimmy Hammond (12) and
Tia Rizvi (10) both recorded double-digit digs.
Calah Jackson helped the CBU defense with three blocks.

CBU is set to return to action on Saturday, Oct. 15 when they continue the South Region Crossover. The Lady Bucs open the day against Rollins, at 9 AM, before finishing the day with Florida Tech at 4:45 PM.
