HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The Christian Brothers University women's soccer team scored a pair of first half goals, and held on for a 2-0 victory over Alabama Huntsville, on Sunday afternoon, at Charger Park.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
14' | CBU took the lead when
Cheyenne Smith dribbled down the right side, cut inside, and found
Maria Cancio, who tapped in a shot at the back post.
34' | Just over 20 minutes later,
Luisa Velten doubled the lead when she fired a shot home after a scramble in the box.
HALF | UAH outshot CBU 5-2 in the opening half.
FINAL | The Lady Bucs kept UAH off the scoreboard, allowing just two shots over the final 25 minutes of the match.
KEY STATS | NOTEABLES
The Chargers finished with a 10-6 advantage in shots, but CBU had a 4-2 edge in shots on goal.
The shutout was the third of the year for goalkeeper
Chloe Hillyer and the defense.
The goal for Cancio was her first of the season. She also leads CBU with six assists.
CBU has now won three of its last five meetings against UAH.
