Lady Bucs Earn Draw with West Georgia

MEMPHIS - The Christian Brothers University women's soccer team battled West Georgia to a 1-1 draw, in Gulf South Conference action, on Friday evening, at Signaigo Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
35' | Despite the visitors earning a majority of the possesion, and the shot attempts, the Lady Bucs took advantage of their first chance of the contest when Mya Gargone sent in a cross, from the right side, that was headed off the post and into the back of the net by Maria Cancio
HALF | UWG outshot the Lady Bucs 14-6 in the opening half. 
68' | The Wolves found the equalizer in the 68th minute after Kenna Kay fired in a shot, off a difficult angle, from outside of the box, on the right side. 
FINAL | UWG had four shots in the final 10 minutes, but was unable to beat CBU goalkeeper Chloe Hillyer

UWG finished with a 22-8 advantage in shots, and an 8-4 edge in shots on goal.
Hillyer finished with seven saves, marking her highest career total in a league contest. 
Cancio has now scored in back-to-back games. 
Gargone now has four assists this season, which ranks second on the team.
