MEMPHIS- The Christian Brothers University women's basketball team outscored Gulf South Conference foe Mississippi College 54-37 in the second half, in an 88-66 victory, on Thursday evening, at Canale Arena.

Jeremia Montgomery each recorded a double-double in the contest. This marked the first time since 12.9.09 that the Lady Bucs have had at least three double-doubles in a single contest. CBU knocked off LeMoyne-Owen 85-82, as Normanique Johnson recorded a triple-double with 17 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists, while Tameka Wooten (21 points, 10 rebounds) and Jasmine Ellis (11 points 16 rebounds) finished with a double-double.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- A closely contested opening quarter saw the game tied at 16 after the opening 10 minutes.Â
- The Lady Bucs opened the second period with a 12-6 run to take a 28-22 lead.
- MC scored seven of the final 13 points to trim the Lady Bucs lead to 34-29 going into halftime.
- The Lady Choctaws kept it close in the first half by going 8-12 from the free throw stripe, including 7-10 in the second quarter.Â
- CBU grew its lead to 15 (51-36) with 6:16 remaining in the third.
- After leading by as many as 19, the Lady Bucs took a 62-47 lead into the fourth quarter.
- The Lady Bucs scored 16 of the first 26 points to extend their lead to 21 (78-57) with 5:45 remaining.Â
- In the final quarter, CBU shot 50 percent from the field, including 57 percent from three point range.

- Yaya Coleman finished with 25 points and 12 rebounds, for her sixth double-double of the season. The junior was 10-of-14 from the field.

- CBU capitalized off 15 MC turnovers, scoring 15 pointsÂ
