MEMPHIS - The Christian Brothers University softball team swept a non-conference doubleheader from Williams Baptist, on Wedesday at Bland Field.
The Lady Bucs hit their way to a 10-2 (5) win in the opener, and used five RBIs from
Elaina McGill in a 5-2 victory to complete the sweep.
GAME ONE: Lady Bucs 10 (6-17) Eagles 2 (8-13) (5)
GAME CHANGER:
The Lady Bucs took advantage of four errors, scoring four unearned runs.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
The Lady Bucs finished with a 10-4 advantage in hits.
CBU finished with three doubles and a home run.
Ashley Dyer led the Lady Bucs, finishing 2-for-2 with a sac-fly, a double and a three-run home run.
Josie Bond added a pair of hits for the Lady Bucs.
RJ Simpson finished with a two-RBI double.

Mackenzie Puckett went all five innings, allowing one earned run on four hits.
KEY PLAYS:
CBU took a 3-0 lead after one, as it took advantage of an Eagle miscue and a two-RBI double from Simspon.
After the Eagles scored their lone runs of the game in the second, CBU responded with four runs in the bottom of the inning.
The Lady Bucs finished the game in the bottom of the fifth when Dyer smacked a three-run home run.
GAME TWO: Lady Bucs 5 (7-17) Eagles 2 (8-14)
GAME CHANGER:
Elaina McGill hit a first inning grand slam and drove in all five runs for CBU.

The Eagles outhit CBU 5-4.
McGill finished 1-2 with five RBIs.
Memory Willingham walked in all three at bats.
The Eagles left nine runners stranded.
Kelsey Wurm did not allow a run in 4.1 innings of relief.

In the first, CBU took advatage of a walk and a hit by pitch to set up the McGill grand slam.
The Eagles took advantage of a CBU miscue to score their lone runs of the game in the third.
A sac fly from McGill finished the scoring in the bottom of the fifth.
Wurm retired the final eight batters in order to finish the game.

The Lady Bucs are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, March 19 when they host Gulf South Conference opponent West Alabama. First pitch for the doubleheader is set for noon.
