MEMPHIS - The Christian Brothers University softball team earned a split with in-state rival Union, in Gulf South Conference action, on Saturday, at Bland Field.
The Lady Bucs never trailed in a 6-2 victory in game one before Union bounced back with a 3-0 win to earn the split.

GAME CHANGER:
The Lady Bucs never trailed after they sent eight batters to the plate, scoring a pair of runs, in the bottom of the first.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
Union finished with a 9-8 advantage in hits.
CBU finished with four extra-base hits, including two doubles, a triple and a home run.
Kendall Westbrooks smacked her fourth home run of the season.
Josie Bond finished 2-for-4 with a triple and a pair of RBIs.
Mackenzie Puckett added an RBI double.
Macy Cumming went the distance in the circle, allowing two runs, on nine hits, with six strikeouts.
KEY PLAYS:
CBU had the first five batters of the game reach safely, including an RBI triple from Bond ad an RBI single from
Memory Willingham, to take a 2-0 lead.
The Lady Bucs extended the lead to 4-0, in the fourth, using RBI doubles from Puckett and
Ashley Dyer.
In the fifth, after Union scored its first run of the game, Westbrooks answered back with a solo home run.
The teams traded runs in the sixth inning to finish the scoring.

GAME CHANGER:
Union pitcher Laken DiStefano allowed just one hit, while striking out seven.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
The Lady Bucs were outhit 10-1.
Josie Bond had the lone hit for CBU.

KEY PLAYS:
After scoring one run in the third, the visitors added a pair in the fourth to finish the scoring.
The Lady Bucs had their best chance of the contest when they left a pair of runners stranded in scoring position.
