MEMPHIS - The Christian Brothers University softball team used 11 hits, including a pair of home runs to earn a 9-3 win over in-state rival Union on Sunday, at Bland Field.
With the win, the Lady Bucs earned their first GSC series win over Union since 2016.

GAME CHANGER:
After being held to one hit by Union pitcher Laken DiStefano, in a 3-0 loss on Saturday, the Lady Bucs bounced back with eight runs and 10 hits against DiStefano today.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
CBU finished with an 11-7 advantage in hits.
CBU finished with three extra-base hits, including a triple and a pair of home runs.
Josie Bond helped lead the Lady Bucs at the plate, going 4-for-4 with three runs.
Elaina McGill also help pace CBU, finishing 2-for-4 with a triple and four RBIs.
Memory Willingham smacked her first home run of the season, a three-run shot in the sixth inning.
Kendall Westbrooks hit her fifth round-tripper of the season and her second in as many days.
Macy Cumming went the distance in the circle, allowing three runs, on seven hits, with four strikeouts. Cumming earned both wins in the circle in the series.
KEY PLAYS:
After leaving a pair of runners stranded in the first, and one in the second, the Lady Bucs got on the board when McGill drove in a pair with a single to left center.
The visitors responded with three runs in the fourth, taking advantage of four straight singles.
CBU took the lead for good when it plated three runs in the fifth, using the two-RBI triple from McGill and an run-scoring single from
Mackenzie Puckett.
The Lady Bucs finished the scoring with four runs in the sixth, using back-to-back home runs from Willingham and Westbrooks.

The Lady Bucs are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, March 29 when they host Harding for a non-conference doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for 1 PM.
