MEMPHIS - The Christian Brothers University softball team had 12 hits, including four home runs, in an 11-0 (5) victory over Shorter, on Sunday afternoon, at Bland Field. 

With the victory the Lady Bucs earned their first Gulf South Conference series sweep since taking the three-game set at Shorter last season.

GAME CHANGER:
With a 1-0 lead, in the bottom of the second, the Lady Bucs plated four runs to take control of the game. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
The Lady Bucs finished with a 12-2 advantage in hits. 
CBU smacked four home runs in the contest. 
Mackenzie Puckett finished 2-for-3 with a grand slam. 
Ashley Dyer, RJ Simpson and Memory Willingham each hit a two-run home run. 
Kiera Coulon added a pair of hits. 
Elaina McGill reached base safely in all three trips, earning three walks. 
CBU starting pitcher Kelsey Wurm surrendered just one hit in four innings. 

KEY PLAYS:
An RBI groundout by Kendall Westbrooks gave CBU a 1-0 lead after one. 
Two-run home runs from Willingham and Dyer gave the Lady Bucs a 5-0 lead after two innings. 
In the third, the two-run round tripper from Simpson extended the lead to 7-0.
Mackenzie Puckett slapped a grand slam to finish the scoring in the bottom of the fourth.  

NOTABLES:
With nine league games remaining, the Lady Bucs have tied their conference win total from last season (7). That total is also tied for third in program history.
The four home runs tied a program record (Lambuth 2.24.10)
With her three walks, Elaina McGill broke the program record for walks in a season, with 32 (Jennifer Gonzalez 2015).
