MEMPHIS - The Christian Brothers University softball team knocked off No. 2 Auburn Montgomery to help it split a Gulf South Conference doubleheader, on Saturday, at Bland Field. The Lady Bucs took the opener 9-3 before dropping the nightcap 10-6.
The victory for the Lady Bucs marks the first over a ranked team since 2013 (No. 17 West Alabama - 3.16.13).
MEMPHIS - No. 2 Auburn Montgomery saw its starting pitcher, Alana Goble, strike out 10 batters, while also taking advantage of a six-run fourth inning in a 13-1 (5) victory over the Christian Brothers softball team, on Sunday afternoon, at Bland Field.
With the win, the Warhawks earned the series victory. Following the game, CBU honored its six seniors.

GAME CHANGER:
AUM starting pitcher Alana Goble struck out 10 batters, and retired the first 10 hitters of the contest.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
The Lady Bucs were outhit 13-3.
Six AUM hits were for extra bases.
Josie Bond,
Mackenzie Puckett and
Reese Earleywine recorded the hits for CBU.
Puckett smacked a solo home run to give the Lady Bucs their lone run of the contest.
KEY PLAYS:
After scoring a run in the top of the first, the Warhawks added two in the second and third innings.
AUM plated six runs, on five hits, in the top of the fourth to take control of the contest.
After the visitors scored two more in the fifth, CBU scored its lone run of the game when Puckett led off the fifth with a home run to finish the scoring.

The Lady Bucs are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, April 30 when they travel to Cleveland, Miss., to face Delta State. First pitch is set for 2 PM.
