Benjamin Boquete has been named Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Month, as announced on Thursday.
Boquete earned his first career honor after helping the Bucs earn a pair of top-three finishes in March. He is the first CBU player to earn a GSC honor since

The Hurlingham, Buenos Aires, Argentina earned his first career collegiate tournament victory when he fired a -5 under par 211 to win the Buccaneer Spring Classic. In the second round, Boquete fired -7 under par 65 which tied the Irene Golf Club competition course record.
After finishing T48, in a loaded field, at the Tusculum Invitational, Boquete bounced back to shoot a -4 under par 212 to finish tied for fifth.
The Bucs are scheduled to return to action on Friday, April 15, when they travel to Mobile, Ala., for the Gulf South Conference Championships.
