Bucs Earn Road Draw in Season Opener at Ouachita Baptist

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Christian Brothers University men's soccer team outshot Ouachita Baptist 32-6, but saw its season opening contest end in a 1-1 draw, on Thursday evening at Kluck Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
2' | The hosts got off the mark quickly when David Stankovic took a long pass, over the top of the defense, and fired a shot into an empty net. 
10' | The Bucs equalized less than 10 minutes later when a cross from Habib Binate took a deflection and found Lucho Galizzi, who fired it past the OBU keeper. 
HALF | CBU outshot the hosts 16-4 in a free flowing opening 45 minutes. 
74' | One of the many second half chances for CBU came with 16 minutes left when a headed effort by Alvaro Martinez hit the crossbar.

  • The Bucs outshot the hosts 32-6, including a 16-2 advantage in the second half. 
  • CBU forced OBU goalkeeper Armani Atilano to make a career-high 10 saves.
