West Georgia Uses Late Goals to Defeat Lady Bucs

CARROLLTON, Ga. - West Georgia scored three goals in a 12-minute span, during the second half, to defeat the Christian Brothers University women's soccer team 3-1, on Sunday afternoon, at University Field. 

FINAL SCORE:
UWG 3 (4-2-3, 4-1-1, GSC)
CBU 1 (3-5-2, 1-4, GSC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:
HALF | A scoreless first half saw the hosts with a 7-5 advantage in shots. 
57' | Flavia Iorio gave CBU a 1-0 lead when she took a pass from Mia Aviles and chipped a shot over the UWG goalkeeper from 10 yards out. 
70' | UWG tied the game when Angie Garces powered home a shot after Jade Butcher hit the left post. 
74' | The Wolves scored what proved to be the game-winner when Judith Leon-Juarez sent a shot from the left side of the box just under the crossbar. 
83' | UWG added an insurance goal less than 10 minutes later to seal the victory.
