MIAMI SHORES, Fla. - After taking a seven point lead at halftime, Lynn used a 14-5 run to pull away with an 80-57 win over the Christian Brothers University women's basketball team, on Saturday afternoon at Cesar Odio Court.
The contest marked the second for the Lady Bucs at the GSC-SSC South Region Crossover. Lynn was picked to finish fourth in the Sunshine State Conference Preseason Coaches Poll.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lynn used a hot shooting first quarter (8-13) to take a 17-9 lead. CBU started the contest just 2-16.
- CBU hit 7-8 from the free throw line to cut help cut the halftime deficit to 33-26.
- The Fighting Knights used a 14-5 run, midway through the third quarter, to take a 47-33 lead.
- With seven seconds left in the third quarter Lynn knocked down a three-pointer to take a 58-40 lead.
- CBU trailed by as many as 29 points, but scored the final six points of the contest.

- Lynn shot 55 percent (29-53), including 7-13 from long-range.
- The Lady Bucs were held to just 14-53 from the floor (26 percent).
- CBU knocked down 24 of its 29 free throw shots.
- Jeremia Montgomery led CBU with a game-high 18 points. Montgomery was helped by a 14-15 effort from the charity stripe. She also finished tied for a game-high with eight boards.
