SEARCY, Ark. - Harding raced out to a 23-8 first quarter lead, and held on for an 84-58 win over the Christian Brothers University women's basketball team, on Friday afternoon, at Rhodes Field House.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Harding got off to a hot start in the opening quarter (9-16) to take a 23-8 lead. CBU started the contest just 4-15.
• The hosts used a 10-11 effort from the free throw line to help take a 47-25 lead into halftime.
• CBU hit 7-8 from the free throw line to cut help cut the halftime deficit to 33-26. 
• The Lady Bucs were unable to cut into the Harding lead, as it went 8-8 at the charity stripe to take a 69-40 lead to the final quarter. 
• CBU used six points apiece from Tae Leatherwood and Ever Walker to help outscore the Lady Bisons 18-15 in the fourth period. 

KEY STATS | NOTEABLES

• Harding shot 49 percent (30-61). The Lady Bisons also took advantage of 16 offensive boards, turning them into 20 second-chance points.  
•  Harding was 23-28 at the free throw stripe, compared to 10-14 for CBU.
• The Lady Bucs were held to just 22-58 from the floor (38 percent).
• Chloe Crawford paced CBU with 14 points. Her 14 points were just one away from tying her career-high. 
• Ever Walker added 12 points, connecting on 7-8 from the free throw stripe.
