MEMPHIS - Southern Arkansas outscored the Christian Brothers University women's basketball team 56-39, in the first half, and pulled away with a 101-59 win, on Tuesday night, at Canale Arena. 

The contest marked the home opener for CBU.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• SAU shot a blistering 12-15 from the floor, including 3-4 from beyond the three-point line to take a 31-16 lead after one quarter. 
• The Lady Bucs used an 11-2 run to get to within 33-27. 
• SAU responded with a 23-12 spurt to take a 56-39 lead at the break.
• The visitors shot 21-33 in the opening half, while CBU was 14-27.  
• SAU used a 10-15 shooting performance to take an 85-50 lead to the fourth quarter. 
• The Lady Muleriders outscored CBU 16-9, in the fourth quarter, to finish the game.  

KEY STATS | NOTEABLES

• SAU shot 35-66, including 8-16 from three point range. The visitors also finished 23-35 from the free throw stripe.  
• CBU finished 21-50, and knocked down four of its eight three point attempts. 
• The Lady Bucs won the rebounding battle 35-32.
• Jeremia Montgomery led CBU with 19 points and 11 boards. The double-double is her second of the season.
• Chloe Crawford added a career-high 16 points. The junior connected on 3-6 from three-point range. 
• The visitors scored 41 points off 42 CBU miscues.
