LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The Christian Brothers University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision against West Alabama, Thursday night, in Pruitt Hall.

West Alabama 3 (5-23, 2-12 GSC), CBU 0 (2-23, 1-12 GSC), (25-20, 26-24, 25-16)
WHAT HAPPENED:
The Tigers had 41 kills and just 16 errors, while hitting .278.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- CBU jumped out to a quick 5-2 lead on kills from Addie Waggoner and Tia Rizvi, but UWA then used a 10-4 run to take a 12-9 lead.
- After going down 17-11 the Lady Bucs battled back using a 8-3 spurt, lead by a pair of kills and an ace from Sarah Allyn Thornell.
- The Tigers responded by using a 5-1 run to take the opening set.
- In a closely contested second set, middle hitter Alma Solis used back-to-back aces to tie the score at 22.
- An attack error and a kill help the Tigers take the set 26-24.
- CBU started the third set hot using a kill by Jordan Allen and an ace by Rizvi to take a 4-0 lead. The Tigers bounced back using a 17-2 run to take a commanding lead.
- The Lady Bucs used a 10-8 run to end the frame, but it wasn't enough as the Tigers finished the match with a 25-16 set win.
KEY STATS | NOTABLES:
- Waggoner's .500 hitting percentage marks a career-high, as she totaled six kills and zero attack errors against the Tigers.
- After recording two blocks against West Alabama, Alma Solis now has at least one in 21-of-25 games this season. She currently leads the team with 58.
- For the third consecutive match, Rizvi recorded at least 10 assists. This marks the 14th time this season the junior has tallied double-digit helpers.
