HOW IT HAPPENED
- VSU raced out to an early six point lead, but CBU answered with a 12-5 run to take a 20-19 lead after the first quarter.
- CBU hit eight of its 15 shots, in the first period, including 4-8 from long-range.
- The visitors used an 11-3 spurt to take a 31-23 lead, with six minutes left in the half.
- Trailing by 10, with three minutes left until halftime, CBU scored seven straight to cut the halftime deficit to 37-34.
- VSU was helped by hitting nine of its 14 first half three-point attempts.
- The Blazers used an 11-2 run to take a 55-45 lead, with one minute remaining in the third quarter, but CBU responded with five straight points of its own to cut the deficit to 55-50.
- A Chloe Crawford three pointer tied the game at 59 with 6:02 left.
- Over the next five minutes VSU held CBU to just one point, helping it hold on for the win.
