ALBERTVILLE, Ala. - Carson-Newman scored four runs in the first inning and held on for a 7-5 win over the Christian Brothers University softball team, on Saturday afternoon, at Sand Mountain Park. The game, which was played in a driving rain, was called due to weather after five innings.

After the Eagles took a 5-0 lead, in the second, CBU answered with a run in the second and two in the third.
C-N added a pair in the fourth to extend its lead to 7-3.
McGill had a two-RBI single to get the Lady Bucs to within 7-5.
After CBU failed to score in the bottom of the fifth, and with C-N batting in the top of the sixth, the game was called due to rain.

The Lady Bucs are scheduled to wrap up the Charger Chillout on Sunday, Feb. 12 when they take on Lincoln Memorial at 10 AM, and will wrap up the day with Kentucky State.
