TUNICA, Miss. - The Christian Brothers University men's golf team opened its Spring season with a third place finish at the Tunica Cup, on Wednesday, at the Tunica National Golf and Tennis Club.
After starting the tournament in fifth place, with a first round total of 304, the Bucs then shot back-to-back team totals of 300 and to rally for a third place finish. CBU concluded the the tournament with a three-round total of 904 (+40). Missouri S&T claimed the team title with an even par (864).
Matt Nicel lead the Bucs as he finished in a tie for fourth place.
The field featured 10 teams, including Gulf South Conference foes Union and Delta State. The Bucs defeated DSU by one stroke.
