ATHENS, Ala.- The Christian Brothers University men's golf team finished in a tie for second place at the Union Spring Bulldog Bash, on Tuesday, at Canebrake Golf Club.
The Bucs finished with a three round total of -12 under par (852), which was just six shots behind tournament winner Shorter. The Bucs topped five teams in the eight team field, including Gulf South Conference rivals Union, Mississippi College and Delta State.
Caleb Bopp finished in a tie for second place to lead the Bucs. Bopp carded a three round total of -8 under par 208 to finish one shot back of the tournament winner, Jean Louis du Plessis of Shorter.
After posting an opening round 288, the Bucs shot another 288, and wrapped up the tournament with a 276. The 276 tied for low round of the tournament, and was five shots better than any other third round score.
