CLINTON, Miss. - The Christian Brothers University softball team came up just short, as it dropped the series finale 3-1 to No. 19 Mississippi College, on Saturday afternoon, at the MC Softball Complex.

With CBU leading 1-0, the Choctaws scored what proved to be the winning runs in the fourth inning.

CBU broke the deadlock in the third when a sacrifice fly by Alexander scored
Riley Simpson.
The Lady Bucs left a pair of runners stranded in the inning.
After a rain delay, MC took the lead in the fourth using a sac fly and an RBI double.
The Choctaws took advantage of three walks in the inning.
MC added a sac fly in the sixth to finish the scoring.
NOTABLES:
Over the three-game series, the 14 runs allowed by CBU pitching is the second-fewest scored by MC in a GSC series this season.
