Bucs Earn Draw with Indianapolis

MEMPHIS - The Christian Brothers University men's soccer team battled to a 1-1 draw with Indianapolis, on Sunday afternoon, at Signaigo Field. 

The visitors were picked to finish second in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and advanced to the NCAA Tournament last year. 

FINAL SCORE:
CBU  1 (2-0-2)
UINDY  1 (2-0-1)

HOW IT HAPPENED:
42' | CBU had the best chance of the half, Roberto Lagoa had his well-struck volley attempt saved by UINDY goalkeeper Kieran Brown. 
HALF | The Bucs outshot the visitors 9-3 in the opening half. 
50' | CBU took a 1-0 lead when Ruben Neubauer headed home a free kick from Andres Solares
53' | The Greyhounds answered less than four minutes later after Niklas Thanhofer headed in a cross from Bobby Turner. 
90' | The teams combined for seven shots the rest of the contest. CBU had the final two shots on goal, but Brown saved both.

  • The Bucs had a narrow 14-13 edge in shots. CBU had five shots on target, compared to just two for the Greyhounds.
