JACKSON, Tenn. - The Christian Brothers University volleyball team opened Gulf South Conference play with a 3-0 setback, at Union, on Tuesday night, at Fred DeLay Gymnasium.

UU 3 (2-11, 1-0 GSC), CBU 0 (1-11, 0-1 GSC), (25-18, 25-18, 27-25)
WHAT HAPPENED:
Union took advantage of 22 CBU attack errors to win the contest.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Union led 10-6 in the early stages of the match before CBU rallied to cut the deficit to 12-11.
- The Bulldogs used an 8-1 run to help win the opening set.
- CBU led the second set 13-11, but Union scored 10 of the next 11 points to help it take a 2-0 lead.
- In a back-and-forth third set, CBU was one point away (24-22) from extending the match but Union used two straight kills to win the match.
