MEMPHIS - The University of Alabama Huntsville women's basketball team used a strong second half to defeat the Christian Brothers University women's basketball team, 63-50, Saturday afternoon at Canale Arena.
After the game was tied at 27, at the half, the Chargers used a 36-23 second half to pull away.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Chargers jumped out to a 5-1 lead early in the first quarter.
- Tieriney Echols tied the game at seven with 5:34 remaining.
- Destiny Kiner hit a jump shot at the end of the first quarter to put the hosts up 16-15.
- A Chloe Crawford jumper, with 4:21 left in the second quarter, gave CBU a 25-19 lead.
- UAH finished the half on an 8-2 run to go into halftime tied at 27.
- The Chargers shot 7-13 and outscored the Lady Bucs 18-8 to take a 45-35 lead into the final period.
- CBU cut the deficit to 52-47, with 4:09 remaining, but the Chargers closed the game on an 11-3 run.
