HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The first set went back-and-forth in the early stages before CBU went on a 10-2 run to pull away from the Trojans for good. The Bucs racked up four kills and two service aces during the charge. They led by eight points, 22-14, at the conclusion of the run. Rizvi finished off the opening set with back-to-back kills.

  • In the third set, Trevecca Nazarene seized the lead early on and clung to it. Christian Brothers came back to within one point, 17-16, after stringing together five-straight points. Calah Jackson smacked two kills while Schumacher pinpointed three aces to lead the comeback effort. The comeback stalled there and TNU went on to claim the set, 25-18.
