BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Christian Brothers University women's golf's Cesilee Mokry (LaVernia, Texas) was named the Gulf South Conference's Golfer of the Week on Thursday for her performance at the Battle for the Belt, hosted by Henderson State, this past Sunday and Monday. She becomes the sixth Buccaneer honored by the GSC in the last three weeks.

Mokry tied for third at the Battle for the Belt as she registered a 220 four-over par. The junior got off to a fast start in the opening round as she recorded a 69 three-under par along with three birdies. She then put together rounds of 73 one-over par and 78 six-over par to conclude the event. Additionally, Mokry finished with nine birdies overall and an eagle. This is her first-career GSC Golfer of the Week honor after transferring from Texas A&M-Kingsville.
