Lady Bucs Sweep Blue Mountain on Opening Day

MEMPHIS - The Christian Brothers University softball team earned an Opening Day sweep of Blue Mountain (Miss.) on Saturday afternoon at Bland Field. The Lady Bucs won the opener 7-3, and finished the sweep with a 9-0 (5) win in game two.

This marks the first time since 2017 that the Lady Bucs have won their first two games of the season. 

GAME ONE: CBU 7 (1-0) BMC 3 (1-2) 

GAME CHANGER:
CBU starting pitcher Gabby Dickerson did not allow a hit for the first six innings of the contest. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

The Lady Bucs finished the scoring with three in the fourth. 

NOTABLES:
The complete game for Schooler is the third of her career. 

UP NEXT:
The Lady Bucs are scheduled to return to action on Friday, Feb. 9 when they travel to Albertville, Ala., for the UAH Charger Chillout. CBU is scheduled to open the day at 1 PM against Miles, and is then set to face Trevecca Nazrene at 3:30 PM.
