Emily Schooler had 14 strikeouts to help the Christian Brothers University softball team earn a 5-1 win over Miles, on Thursday afternoon, at the UAH Charger Chillout. The Lady Bucs narrowly missed a sweep, as they dropped a hard-fought nightcap, 8-7 (9), to Young Harris.
GAME ONE: CBU 5 (3-0) MC 1 (0-1)
GAME CHANGER:

Emily Schooler struck out 14 Miles batters, allowing just one unearned run, on three hits.

In the top of the ninth, with runners on first and second with just one out, Young Harris turned an inning-ending double play.
