Lady Bucs Fall on the Road at West Florida

PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Christian Brothers University softball team fell 15-6 in game one and 10-0 in game two to the University of West Florida, on Saturday afternoon, at the UWF Softball Complex.

: UWF 15 (16-12, 5-6 GSC) CBU 6 (13-13, 7-7 GSC) 

GAME CHANGER: 

The Argonauts scored six runs in the first inning. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: 

KEY PLAYS: 

West Florida scored six runs in the first including a lead off home run to go up 6-3. The Argonauts plated three more in the second to take a 9-3 lead 

CBU scored three more in the fourth, followed by 2 more from the Argos from a two-run home run. 

The Argos plated 4 more in the 5th inning to end the game via run-rule.

Montana Young gave up 0 hits to help earn the win for West Florida.

  • West Florida had a 11-2 advantage in hits. 
  • Mackenzie Bakel and Kate Candies had the 2 hits for the Lady Bucs.

West Florida scored three runs in the second from Jessica Ford's home run. The Argos scored two in the third and two in the fourth to take a 7-0 lead.
