Lady Bucs Fall On Senior Day to Mississippi College

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Christian Brothers University softball team fell in a pair of close contests against Mississippi College. The Choctaws won 6-5 in the opener and 3-2 in game two, on Saturday afternoon, at Bland Field.

FINAL SCORE:
MC 6 (35-6, 17-6 GSC) CBU 5 (16-26, 9-17 GSC)

The Choctaws scored 6 runs in the fifth inning to help get the win.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

· CBU had a 10-9 advantage in hits.

· Four different Lady Bucs had at least one RBI.

· The Lady Bucs pitching staff threw 5 strikeouts and gave up 6 runs.

KEY PLAYS:

MC went up 6-0 in the fifth inning on a 3 run homerun, 2 run homerun, and a solo homerun.

The Lady Bucs bounced back in the seventh scoring 5 runs to make the final score 6-5.

CBU got on the board first in the 4th inning on a two RBI double by Simpson.
